Kat Dennings stars as Max, a young, jaded waitress in a greasy Brooklyn diner that somehow evokes the good old days of "Alice": The Mel here is a leering Russian fry cook named Oleg (Jonathan Kite), and the other waitresses keep getting fired for kissing grits or whatever.
